It is indeed my most awaited time of the year! I know how companies take advantage of the profitable event but that's just beside the point that Christmas takes people away from reality. It gives a reason for people to smile. It's not just about the gifts, the food, the gathering... besides, without the real reason for the celebration -- that is the birth of Christ -- there wouldn't be any gift, food or gathering at all! That's why I love this event so much. I love it that I'm planning to trim down and save tummy space for the Christmas feast (make that feasts); I'm planning on how to Christmas spice up my desk in Cebu; I'm planning to make Christmas earings; I'm planning to complete the Novena leading to Christmas day; I'm planning to be really happy while waiting for it. Some of my friends complain how Filipinos start celebrating this joyous occasion way too early, well, I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all.
